Ralph E. Scott

Ralph E. Scott, 82, of Slinger, went home to the arms of his Heavenly Father Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.

Ralph was born April 17, 1927 in Fredericktown, Missouri to Ralph and Virginia (nee O’Reed) Scott. He was united in marriage to Henriette (Rita) Kittinger on July 12, 1947 at Pinehill Methodist church in Fredericktown, Missouri.

Ralph served his country in the Army during W.W.II. During this time he met Henriette (Rita) in Vienna, Austria and she came to the United States with him in 1947. Ralph fondly referred to her as his “war bride” and after 62 years of marriage they were still at war.

Ralph was a member of the V.F.W. Post #3358 in Slinger and served as Commander in 1967. He was involved in Boy Scouts as well . Ralph enjoyed woodworking, gospel music and he loved playing sheepshead. Ralph continued working driving as a courier for E.S. Service up until his surgery August 8, 2009, he loved driving and staying active having been a semi driver for 20 years. He was known by many as “Smilin Jack”.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rita; his children, Robert of West Bend, Eva Jo (Ray) Boldt of Hartford and Randolph Scott of Slinger; nine grandchildren, Ehrin, Jashin, Jamie, Courtney, Andrea, Aleesha, James, Joseph; and great grandchildren, Marissa, Jasmine, Jaida, Bryson, Rylan, Alexis, Daymin, Xzavyin, Clinton, Sopia, Tavius, Ashley. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Ralph is preceded in death by his grandson Ricky, and daughter-in-law, Eva.
Ralph was such a Gentle, Laid Back, Loving Soul, who touched the hearts of everyone who knew him, he will be deeply missed.

Memorial Services for Ralph will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 7:00 pm at Divine Savior Lutheran Church, 3200 County Trunk K South, Hartford, with Rev. Ricky Schroeder officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.

Memorials will be given to the people of Haiti.
