Vernon C. Morrison, 63, of Hartford passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, January 31, 2010.
Vernon was born October 3, 1946 in Sherman, Texas to Calvin and Dolores (nee Freemore) Morrison. He was united in marriage to Kathy Larson on August 30, 1968 in Sparta, Wisconsin.
Vernon enjoyed “muscle cars”, radio controlled air planes, and woodworking. He was a member of the Sky Ranch Flyers club in West Bend.
Vernon is survived by his wife Kathy; his children, Julie (Lee) Thyssen of Woodruff, Denise (special friend Clint), Jeff (fiancée Dawn) both of Hartford, Jason (Sherry Will) of Campbellsport; three grand children, Jason Jr., Charrisa, and Moriah; his step-grandchildren, Samantha, Alyssa, and Cherish; his siblings, Robert (Kim) Morrison and Cheryl Newland both of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; his step-mother, Evelyn Morrison of Muscle Shoals, AL.; and his mother-in-law, Mildred Larson of Cashton, Wisconsin. Vernon is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and an infant brother.
Memorial Services for Vernon will be held Friday, February 5, 2010 at 5:00 pm at the Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union Street, Hartford. Family will greet relatives and friends on Friday from 3:00- 5:00 pm.
